Dancing teaches children social values, increase their confidence and self-esteem besides enabling them to adapt to different social and cultural settings.                         

With such positive traits in this healty form of physical activity, young Malaysians are encouraged to get up and go dancing! It's fun, healthy and also affordable for everyone.

In line with the idea of "Total Child Development", dancing instills in the young, good music coordination, an appreciation for music and creativity while dance training will improve flexibility posture, strenght and balance, and also build quick reflexes. These qualities will further enhance the children's sense of rhythm, providing them with an expressive outlet for their emotions and feelings.

As testimony to the quality of teaching at Aurora, its students have won the Dance Society of Malaysia's solo classical ballet competitions every year since 1999; obtained full scholarships to attend ballet summer schools in Melbourne, Singapore and at London's Royal Academy of Dance. The 2nd prize in the under 18 category  at the 11th TDS solo classical ballet competition was won by our 14 year old advanced student Teo May Jean. At the most recent TDS Ballet Competition, all five of Aurora's competitors in various categories won 1st, 2nd and 3rd places as well as 2 Australian Summer School Scholarships.

They have also excelled in the 9th International Ballet Competition and Contest for choreographers (Moscow 2001) and the Adeline Genee Ballet Competitions, (Sydney 2002), (Birmingham 2003).Other International competitions which saw Aurora's students' participation and successes include 20th Singapore International Ballroom Dancing Championship 2007,Wanna South East Asia Line Dancing Championship (Singapore 2007), Imperial Ballet Awards 2008 ( Sussex 2008). Our latest success was in Manila, The Philipinnes at the WCDF World Open Dance Tournament where our dancers won top places for solo and group ballet, modern, jazz and ballroom events.
